2011 was a tumultuous year. The spread of Revolution across the Arab world, the explosion of anger against austerity, the birth the new anti-sexist ‘Slutwalk” movement and the emergence of the global Occupy movement have all raised hopes that a world of equals is on the horizon. In times like these we need ideas and action. Rev 2012 is about combining these.

Revolution is back on the map, protest is back with a vengeance and a spirit of defiance is spreading across the globe. Ideas and debates about the way forward are springing up everywhere. How can the rule of the 1% be challenged? How can we forge a movement, which unites people of all backgrounds? How can the movements in the Middle East succeed? How can we take the experience of the global and put it into practice in the Local? And how can we go beyond challenging the horrors of the system to building a challenge to the system itself?

Revolution 2012 is part of this process of discovery. If you are angry at the system, inspired by Occupy, or eager for answers then get yourself down to Rev2012.
